Florida is clearly visible in the latest oil spill pictures taken from space. While most of our earlier stories did not show satellite images showing the coast of Florida, the new images now clearly show the black tide is hitting the coastline in the panhandle.
No oil has been found on Florida West coast including Sarasota, Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Manatee Counties (as of June 27, 2010). It has been a few days since we last posted the latest image from the NASA Earth Observatory.
